Scrabble Words of the Day -- Short, Starting with X

Well, the Xerox company probably isn't too happy about this, but did you know that you can use "XEROX" as a Scrabble word, even though it's technically a trademarked name?

Words, 4 letters or less, that begin with X:

XI
XU
XYST

And another fun one at 5 letters:

XYLYL -- Def: a univalent radical

"xis" -- can't believe I forgot to include "xis" -- thanks, silentkiller, for adding this one.

I think your definition of XYLYL is incorrect, its from chemistry. If you add a XYLOSE sugar to another chemical, then the sugar is a XYLYL group. Similar transformations are ACETATE -- ACETYL, METHANE -- METHYL. Very useful things with to hook onto a Y in a tight place...

Interesting comment by anonymous. I can't say either way. I went by the Scrabble dictionary definition, and wouldn't know a xylyl if I sat on one.
